9th EPTA IRELAND PIANO FESTIVAL
8th – 10th May 2020 has regrettably been cancelled
In view of this afternoon’s announcement by TaoiseachLeo Varadkar, it is with great disappointment that I write to inform you that the committee of EPTA Ireland has decided to cancel this year’s Festival, which was to be held next month at the National Concert Hall.
As things stand, with the lockdown extended to 5 May, all schools, including music education establishments, remain closed until further notice, and it is unclear when concert venues like the NCH will reopen. Therefore, it is not feasible for the Festival to go ahead.
Stay safe and, most importantly, healthy.
