A Repertoire Rich Approach to Teaching, teaching without exams
June Armstrong has been teaching for over 30 years without engaging in the
examination system. Repertoire is at the heart of her teaching style, and in this
presentation she will give an illustrated talk about her own individual teaching
methods, introducing the repertoire which has inspired her over the years, and
which ultimately led to her own compositions. She will also address teaching scales,
technique, sight reading, rhythm and other issues such as motivation and
accountability.
