Martin Walsh, a piano technician, presents an insightful seminar of the inner workings of the piano. He will explain the importance of the main components of the piano mechanics, and how a good technician can improve the sound and the touch of a piano and increase the enjoyment one can get from playing the piano. He will also discuss topics such as how to select a good piano, including the differences between the production line and hand built models, what types of pianos are suitable for various styles of piano music, and simple tips to how one should maintain the piano to keep it in optimal shape.
